Age group: 3-5 year-olds

Game: Gym with Numbers

Vocabulary: Action Verbs (jump, hop, clap, blink, sit, stand up)

Time: 15’

Material: suggested song from youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_tWEayqHKk  

Interaction Pattern: T-Ss

Preparation for the game: The song is to be played in a classroom with an E-board with internet access.

 

Instructions:

1.   Sit with Ss in a circle and play the song.

2.   Encourage Ss to sing too and make the gestures with their hands as the numbers appear.

3.   Work on the vocabulary suggested above (suggestion: show the movement and drill the word with Ss).

4.   Call out a S to make the movement the number of times you say, for example: Pedro, jump 3 times.
