Hopscotch

Age group: 6-8 year-olds

Game: Hopscotch

Vocabulary: Numbers 1-12

Time: 15’

Material: A4 sheets of paper, a roll of Scotch tape and some coloured pencils or crayons

Interaction Pattern: T-Ss / Ss- Ss

Preparation for the game: get the material available for the Ss.

Instructions:

1.   Give out one A4 sheet of paper for each S.

2.   Ask each S to draw a number and a picture to represent the quantity of that number drawn (for example: the S that writes number 1 draws one ball) and one to draw the sky (as in all of the hopscotch’s)

3.   Stick the A4 sheets of paper on the floor with some Scotch tape so as to make a hopscotch

4.   Ask the Ss to take off their shoes and start hopping and having fun
